A friend of mine and I are the admins of our website. He was trying to make some file directories for the website so people could go to the directories and look for certain files. However, after creating them they do not show up on the website. Are we doing something wrong?

Could you be more specific with what you are trying to achieve? Within the FTP section of the admin area you should be able to create additional folders without issue - Giving other users access to this i am not so sure about.

You do have the ability to use the download center; this is separate section to the ftp files which you use for the front/back end of your website.
