Main Menu Login/Logout Button

I accidentally deleted the Login/Logout button from my main bar on my website. I would like to add it back but it doesn't seem possible. Right now I am able to add two seperate login/logout buttons except I want to add the button that knows when you're logged in and when you're logged out.
